David Blitzer plans to set up his own money management firm, a step that would permit the former Blackstone Inc. veteran to raise capital from external investors.
The new firm, Blitz Management LLC, incorporated in Delaware in May and filed a similar notice in New York the following month, according to state records. A separate regulatory filing says Blitz Management “is expected” to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser.
