Insight Partners lined up a new round of financing for its twelfth flagship fund, one of the largest to deploy capital as the market for private tech companies peaked during 2021.
The financing permits the fund, Insight Partners XII, to borrow against future proceeds from its investments. This type of debt, known as a net asset value loan, has become increasingly popular among private funds, in part because it offers an alternative to cashing out investments amid the unfavorable market conditions that have prevailed since 2022.
