As a member of the Bloomberg News team for over three decades, I specialized in mining government documents to shed light on the inner and outer workings of Wall Street.
My investigative work goes much deeper than SEC filings that are now widely available online. Many other federal and state offices house information-rich documents that are not as easily accessible. With dogged determination and detective work, I uncover the details that tell the complete stories.
Now an independent reporter, my focus is on using documents and databases available through government agencies -- as well as key stakeholders in the legal, tax and institutional investing communities -- to do research and report on Wall Street money managers and brokerage firms.
